Contract PHP Developer (Yii Framework)

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid – 2–3 days on-site)

Rate: Up to £400 per day (Outside IR35)

Contract Length: 6 months

Our client, a leading organisation within the digital and technology space, is hiring a Contract PHP Developer with strong Yii framework experience to support the development and enhancement of business-critical applications.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a well-established platform, working alongside an experienced delivery team in a collaborative, outcome-driven environment.

What you’ll do

Develop and maintain PHP applications using the Yii framework
Enhance existing systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other developers to deliver new features
Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code
Support testing, debugging, and deployment activities

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery against agreed timelines.

What we’re looking for

Strong commercial experience with PHP
Proven experience working with the Yii framework
Solid understanding of MVC architecture and modern web development practices
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid, team-based setting

There is no sponsorship on offer for this role and you must be willing to commute to the office 2 days per week.
