Role Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Technician to support the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure. This role focuses on operational support, incident handling, and basic configuration of cloud environments, working closely with cloud engineers and infrastructure teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on exposure to cloud platforms and infrastructure support and is eager to grow into a cloud engineering role.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Operations

Monitor cloud environments and respond to alerts and incidents
Support provisioning and maintenance of cloud resources (compute, storage, networking)
Assist with cloud backup, recovery, and availability tasks
Perform routine infrastructure checks and maintenance

Support & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot basic cloud infrastructure and connectivity issues
Support identity and access management (IAM / RBAC) tasks
Escalate complex incidents to Cloud Engineers or Level 2/3 teams
Follow incident, change, and problem management procedures

Security, Compliance & Monitoring

Apply basic cloud security best practices and access controls
Support monitoring, logging, and alerting configurations
Assist with vulnerability remediation and compliance checks

Documentation & Collaboration

Maintain infrastructure documentation and runbooks
Update asset inventories and configuration records
Work closely with cloud, network, and DevOps teams
Participate in shift-based or on-call support when required

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must Have)

Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts:
Compute, storage, networking
Shared responsibility model
Familiarity with at least one cloud platform:
AWS or Azure or Google Cloud
Basic knowledge of:
Virtual machines and cloud networking
Identity & access management
Monitoring and logging tools
Understanding of:
Linux and/or Windows operating systems
Incident and change management processes
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred / Advantageous Skills

Entry-level cloud or infrastructure certifications:
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
CompTIA Cloud+
Exposure to:
Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python – basic level)
CI/CD or DevOps concepts
ITSM tools and ticketing systems
Experience in MSP or 24×7 support environments

Education

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Equivalent hands-on experience or certifications will be considered
