Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to join on a 6-month contract, supporting the design and development of AI-driven solutions with a strong focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). This role will suit someone with a solid software engineering foundation who is comfortable working across the full development life cycle in a cloud-based environment.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain AI engineering solutions with a primary focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.
Build and enhance Python-based services and components to support AI and data-driven workflows.
Apply strong software engineering principles to produce clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical implementations.
Support deployment, monitoring, and operational aspects of solutions using DevOps practices.
Work within AWS-based environments to develop, test, and run applications in the cloud.
Contribute to improving system reliability, performance, and scalability through continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in AI Engineering, specifically working with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) approaches.
Strong Python development experience in a production environment.
Solid software engineering background, with experience designing and building reliable systems.
Hands-on DevOps experience, supporting build, deployment, and operational processes.
Practical experience working with AWS services in a commercial setting.
