Senior Azure .NET React Developer (Freelance – 2 days/week)

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)

Industry: Railway Infrastructure (Public Sector)

Start Date: 15 October 2025

Duration: Until October 2026 (extendable, max. 24 months)

About the Role

A leading organization in the railway infrastructure sector is seeking a Senior Azure .NET React Developer to support the development and design of multiple applications and APIs on Microsoft Azure.

You will work closely with integration and product teams, collaborate with experienced developers and analysts, and provide technical design expertise while coaching junior developers.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop middleware solutions and products
Participate in technical architecture & solution design
Mentor and coach junior developers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on innovative digital solutions

Must-Have Skills

Backend: .NET Core 9 / C# 13+
Azure Services: Service Bus, Application Insights, Key Vault, Cosmos DB, Functions, App Services
Frontend: React
Architecture & Patterns: DDD, Microservices, CQRS, Event-Sourcing, SOLID
Other Tools: OAuth 2.0, Postman, MS Dynamics 365

Soft Skills

Motivated, autonomous, and flexible
Strong team-player and proactive communicator
Analytical and solution-oriented mindset

Requirements

10–14 years of relevant experience (Senior level)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
At least one recent Microsoft certification (< 2 years old)
Fluency in Dutch, French & English
