Description:

Are you a hands-on Network Technician with strong experience in LAN/WAN/WLAN environments, structured cabling, and troubleshooting? Join a leading organization in the electronics manufacturing industry and support critical network infrastructure across a dynamic facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Support:

Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN equipment including switches and routers.
Support and maintain WLAN systems such as wireless controllers and access points.
Maintain and repair telecom components and network operating systems.
Ensure all network equipment remains functional and properly maintained.

Cabling & Physical Infrastructure:

Install, repair, and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 UTP network cables.
Support structured cabling across manufacturing and office environments.
Maintain clean, organized IDF/MDF/telecom closets.
Document network drops, cable routes, and infrastructure layouts.
Coordinate cabling projects with vendors or internal facilities teams.

Operational & Technical Support:

Assist IT support teams with diagnosing and resolving network issues.
Support desk-side moves, additions, and hardware changes.
Monitor network performance using network administration/monitoring tools.
Enforce IT best practices and corporate network security policies.
Provide backup support for telecommunications operations.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Associate degree preferred, or equivalent technical training/experience.
4+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/WLAN networking environments.
Familiarity with physical and logical network architectures.
Experience with IP Telephony, Legacy TDM PBX, VPN, and structured cabling standards.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows OS.
Ability to interpret diagrams, read technical manuals, and produce documentation.
Solid communication skills for working with teams and end users.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Certifications:

CCNA Routing & Switching (preferred)
CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking certification
