About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Rust, Kotlin or Java and a proven track record in building distributed systems or large scale backend architectures. This is a senior level onsite role based in Paris, suitable for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and is passionate about building high performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services that power core product features

• Develop distributed systems capable of handling large user volumes and real time data flows

• Build and ship AI powered product features into production environments

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver high quality consumer facing features

• Ensure system performance, reliability and operational excellence across all services

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in backend engineering

• Proficiency in Rust, Kotlin or Java

• Hands on experience with distributed systems or large scale backend platforms

• Experience building AI powered production features using Kafka or similar technologies

• Background in developing consumer social products

• Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently in an onsite setup

• Willing to work onsite in Paris five days a week
