About the Company: Our client is an entrepreneurial Investor and Advisor who work across a range of sectors. They have recently completed deals in Tech, Media, Healthcare Industrials and Payments, plus advising in these sectors too. The small team are looking to hire a VP to join a lean team that will afford the individual joining plenty of responsibility and autonomy from the outset.
About the Role: You will play a key role in investment analysis, deal execution, and sourcing new opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Investment Strategy, Analysis & Due Diligence
Lead investment evaluation across targeted sectors, setting analytical frameworks and guiding junior team members in financial modeling, valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparables), and scenario analysis.
Oversee development of market theses through industry research, competitive landscape assessment, and market sizing, ensuring alignment with broader portfolio strategy.
Direct and manage end-to-end due diligence processes, coordinating cross-functional workstreams with legal, accounting, commercial, and operational advisors to identify key risks and value-creation opportunities.
Deal Sourcing & Execution
Originate and cultivate relationships with management teams, bankers, advisers, and industry operators to drive proprietary deal flow.
Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of transactions, including term sheet development, capital structure optimization, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Drive preparation and delivery of Investment Committee materials, providing clear, strategic recommendations and articulating investment rationale, risks, and value-creation plans.
Sourcing & Market Intelligence
Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through proactive sourcing and networking.
Qualifications:
Six to Nine years of relevant experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or Private Equity.
Exceptional academic credentials; a degree in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a high level of commercial awareness.
Results-oriented and proactive, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas effectively.
Fluency in English with an additional European language a nonessential plus.
