Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Discipline Engineering in the Conventional business, the Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and overseeing processes to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves analyzing data, developing process improvements, and collaborating with various teams to support operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize processes to improve efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

• Provide technical engineering design and optimization support to operations, including process modelling, compressor evaluations, equipment sizing and specification, and device sizing.

• Analyze operational data to troubleshoot issues and recommend corrective actions.

• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other stakeholders to develop and implement process improvements.

• Prepare process documentation, including Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Shutdown Keys, and Control Narratives.

• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all process engineering activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.

• Professional Engineer designation through APEGA with the ability to authenticate engineering deliverables.

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in process engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

• Working knowledge of upstream conventional oil and gas operations, including well pads, compressor stations, oil batteries, and facility design.

• Knowledge and application of commonly used codes (ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, etc.) and industry standards (API, etc.).

• Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and control in brownfield and greenfield well pads, gathering sites, compressor stations, and facilities.

• Proficiency with process simulation and modeling software such as HYSYS and Promax.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory requirements.
