Role: PostgreSQL / Senior Database Administrator /Sr. DBA

Location: Toronto, ON

Experience Required: 8+ Years

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Administer and optimize PostgreSQL 11+ on Red Hat Linux.
Support full lifecycle operations for development and production environments.
Install, configure, and maintain Oracle 12c/19c RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Exadata.
Manage database security, encryption, auditing, user access, and patching.
Ensure compliance with SOX, PCI DSS, FISMA, GLBA, FATCA standards.
Perform RMAN backup/recovery for large enterprise databases.
Lead incident resolution and provide technical guidance to teams.
Develop automation using Python, Perl, and UNIX shell scripting.
Work with IBM IIDR and TSM backup utilities.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years of DBA experience.
Strong hands-on knowledge of Oracle and Exadata (mandatory).
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science.
Experience with database performance tuning, auditing, and compliance controls.
Proven ability to work independently and mentor others in high-availability environments.
