Infrastructure Engineer (Windows & Linux)

Location: London (5 days on-site)

We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable hedge fund known for its technology-driven environment and high-performance infrastructure. We’re looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer with solid experience across Windows & Linux servers, networking, and security. You’ll handle day-to-day support, own 2nd/3rd-line technical issues, and contribute to ongoing infrastructure projects in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do:

Support and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) environments
Resolve escalated desktop, server, and network issues
Maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, VPN, wireless – Cisco)
Perform patching, hardening, and performance tuning
Support security operations (endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, log analysis)
Produce documentation and participate in on-call rotation

What we’re looking for:

5+ years in infrastructure/support roles
Experience in working on both Windows & Linux servers
Good networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP) + Cisco hands-on
Experience with VMware, storage, and security controls
Scripting (PowerShell/Bash) a plus
AWS experience is a big plus.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
