Principal Data Scientist
My client is the world's leading startup focused on providing a valuation utility for private markets.
They are looking for their first Principal Data Scientist to help build upon their existing models and product, as well as to work on new projects within the private market valuation space. Base pay range
$300,000.00/yr - $400,000.00/yr Requirements
5+ Years of Experience
Advanced machine learning modeling development experience (time-series, causal inference, econometrics, NLP)
PhD or Masters in a related field
It's a plus if you come from a financial background with experience in private markets (private equity, corporate credit, infrastructure, real estate, etc.) Compensation
$300,000 - $400,000 Total Compensation depending on level of experience

As the Principal Data Scientist, you will report directly to the Co-Founder of the company and be supported by a team of 3 other Data Scientists. They have built out the world's leading valuation utility for private markets that is being used by a large number of active users including large asset managers.
They are looking for a Principal Data Scientist to lead the model development within the company, including improving on their successful existing models, as well as expanding out their product. You will be using your experience within the private markets world to build out these models.
You will have a large business impact in this role, with the ability to influence high-level decision making and interact with clients. This role is on-site in Seattle. Location
This role requires you to work out of their Seattle office five days a week. They do cover relocation expenses if you are looking to move. Interview Process
This is a quick two-step interview process (interview with the Founder and then an on-site interview to meet the team). There is no take-home assignment.
