Position: Bilingual Expert | English & French

Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $35–$40 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week, flexible and asynchronous

Duration: 1+ months with potential extension

Role Responsibilities

Review and evaluate English–French translations for fluency and natural phrasing
Ensure language aligns with French usage specifically in France
Identify mistranslations, tone mismatches, and structural issues
Suggest accurate, idiomatic improvements to refine quality
Provide structured linguistic feedback clearly and consistently

Ideal Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in both French and English
Strong understanding of French usage & regional norms in France
1+ year experience in translation, localization, editing, or QA review
High attention to linguistic detail and cultural nuance
Strong reading comprehension and written feedback skills
