Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD. Role

Our Co-op/Intern Programming is offered with select Co-op and Internship roles and is designed to help you better understand the TD business, build on critical career capabilities, and broaden your professional network. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features:

TD Model Validation (MV) group is responsible for the independent validation and approval of analytical models used for risk, pricing, hedging, and capital evaluation for portfolio of financial products. This also includes validation of decision-making models, such as credit approval and behavioral scoring models

Job Description

As a member of the Model Validation (MV) group, you will play a crucial role in the validation and approval of models within the bank. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. The independent review and challenge of models is critical to ensure the understanding of models and model risk. The successful candidate will be able to gain experience in second line activities such as evaluating the risks within models and business knowledge in different LOBs in TD.

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions)
Robust quantitative skills with an undergraduate/advanced degree in one or more of the following areas: Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics & Engineering
Familiarity with various statistical modelling techniques and ability to design/implement statistical tests
Strong problem-solving abilities, especially when working with complex data sets or analytical models.
Strong communication skill to communicate technical concepts concisely and support effective collaboration with LOB and MD to understand business concept and solve the identified problem efficiently during the validation process;
Good time management skills with minimal supervision;
Experience in Python programming with skills in data cleaning/processing and debugging skills to identify, analyze, and resolve bugs efficiently.
Experience with Python packages including Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Statsmodels.
Inquisitive nature, ability to ask the right questions and escalate issues

This position is a 4-month work term and will commence May 4th through August 21st 2026.
