As a Full Stack Developer your primary role will be building web applications working in a team environment with other developers at varying levels of skill.

You will be working with a custom WordPress framework designed for modern web applications and build pipelines.

Duties

Build new applications
Develop & maintain reusable packages and libraries
Perform code reviews
Work together with front-end developers to put the polish on our applications
Work closely with other development teams to ensure seamless integration and production rollout
Reduce technical debt by refactoring legacy code and eliminating dead code
Commit to personal growth

Requirements and Qualifications

Expert understanding of modern PHP framework(s), e.g., Laravel or Symfony
Adept in Javascript, React, and CSS frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind, using build tools like Webpack, NPM, and Yarn
Solid grasp of WCAG 2.0+ requirements
Comprehension of common WordPress pitfalls, and an appreciation for the need to do WordPress development The Right Way (yes, it's a thing!)
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on team success
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to write good documentation, both in code and corporate Confluence platform
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Self-starter who can work with a team to accomplish business objectives

CI/CD tools, e.g. GitLab
Modern WordPress frameworks, e.g., Roots Bedrock, Themosis, and Continuous Deployment strategies
Elasticsearch, MySQL
SEO best practices
Kubernetes / Docker
Cloud infrastructure, e.g. Google Cloud, AWS

Experience

Completed degree in related discipline and/or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience developing web-based applications
