This is a Remote role and client is actively hiring for this position.
Role Overview: Senior Technical Project Manager – Digital Portals
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months +
Rate: $100/hr - $120/hr (depending on experience)
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager with a strong track record of delivering complex digital portal initiatives. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical leadership across the build, test, and handover phases, managing both front-end and back-end delivery in a cloud-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end delivery of the build and test phases of a digital portal program, ensuring alignment with approved scope, design, and technical architecture.
Oversee front-end development (React) and back-end development (.NET) hosted on Microsoft Azure, working closely with technical leads, architects, and development teams.
Create and maintain detailed delivery plans using Microsoft Project Plan, including milestones, dependencies, critical paths, and resource forecasting.
Drive Agile delivery execution using Azure DevOps, managing product backlogs, sprint planning, user stories, defects, and delivery metrics.
Coordinate and manage testing activities, ensuring defects are logged, tracked, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
Proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, escalating as required to safeguard delivery timelines and outcomes.
Ensure all technical documentation, delivery artefacts, and knowledge transfer activities are completed to enable a smooth transition to operations or downstream delivery teams.
Provide regular, accurate status reporting on progress, risks, and delivery outcomes to senior stakeholders and program leadership.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience managing digital portal or complex application delivery programs.
Strong understanding of modern front-end and back-end architectures in a cloud environment.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Project Plan and Azure DevOps for delivery planning and execution.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to balance technical depth with delivery discipline in fast-paced, Agile environments.
