Role :Cloud Migration Engineer – AWS to Azure (.NET, Kafka, Datadog)

Location: London(Hybrid)

Duration :6 months contract

The migration is AWS to Azure. It is a .NET application. We are currently using Kafka. We use Datadog and Kafka. Client will use Express Routes between AWS and Azure.

Role Overview / Responsibilities

Lead and support the migration of a .NET application from AWS to Microsoft Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
Design, implement, and manage hybrid cloud connectivity using Azure ExpressRoute between AWS and Azure environments.
Work with Kafka-based event-driven architectures, ensuring message reliability, scalability, and performance during and after migration.
Maintain and enhance application observability and monitoring using Datadog, supporting proactive issue detection and performance optimisation.
Collaborate with platform, DevOps, and application teams to ensure seamless integration across cloud services.

Key Technical Skills / Experience

Strong experience delivering AWS to Azure cloud migrations.
Proven background in .NET application architecture and deployment.
Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in production environments.
Experience implementing and supporting Datadog monitoring and observability.
Solid understanding of hybrid cloud networking, including ExpressRoute.
Ability to work in fast-paced, delivery-focused environments.
