Job Specifications

A global investment manager with c.$15bn AUM is seeking a Legal Counsel to join it's London team, reporting into the General Counsel.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrated experience across the full lifecycle of investment funds, including establishment, structuring, launch, marketing, and distribution
Negotiation of key fund-related agreements, including investment management, administration, and service-level agreements
Drafting and negotiating trading and financing documentation, such as brokerage agreements, ISDAs, GMRAs, and related instruments
Supporting general corporate, governance, and advisory matters
Negotiating employment contracts, research agreements, and agreements with service providers
Liaising with boards, external advisers, and external legal counsel as required

Requirements:

7-10 years+ PQE, with relevant exposure to trading and buy-side matters gained in private practice and/or an in-house environment
Solid understanding of relevant European, UK, and US regulatory frameworks impacting financial services, including MiFID II, conduct of business rules, data protection, EMIR, and short-selling regulations
