Job Specifications
Entry-Level / New Graduate | High-Impact Strategy Analyst
About Us:
OpenHouse.ai is the leading AI research and deployment company transforming the $400B+ new home construction industry. Our vision is to be the operational intelligence backbone of home building—unifying fragmented data to power a connected ecosystem. We help sophisticated, data-driven builders make high-impact decisions that drive profitable growth and resilience.
Our Quantitative AI platform is live across 30+ geo-markets in the U.S. and Canada, and we work directly with executive teams at some of the top 100 home builders in North America.
About the Role:
We are intentionally hiring top-of-class new graduates for this role because the work demands first-principles thinking, structured problem solving, and rapid learning—not pre-existing domain knowledge. We hire for raw cognitive power, and we believe exceptional early-career talent develops executive-level judgment fastest when trained in a high-bar, high-exposure environment with real responsibility from day one.
As the Strategic Business Analyst, you are the bridge between our data engine and our customers’ boardrooms. While our data team handles the heavy lifting of processing raw data into charts and trends, you are the one who gives those charts a voice. Reporting directly to the VP of Revenue, you will act as the analytical engine that turns ambiguous client scenarios into polished, board-ready strategy decks.
The Profile: Half Performance Analyst, Half Strategist
The Performance Analyst: You have a "conversion-rate" brain. You look at the flow of data - from web traffic to sales leads - and instinctively look for friction. You don't just see numbers; you see the efficiency of the funnel.
The Strategic Analyst: You synthesize those funnel insights into a clear executive "Resolution." You use the Pyramid Principle to explain to an executive exactly where the leaks are and what strategic shift is required to fix them.
What You’ll Do:
Metric Selection & Correlation: From a library of available data, you determine which metrics actually drive growth and deserve executive attention.
Efficiency vs. Effectiveness: Evaluate if marketing and sales efforts are truly driving results. You identify when a campaign is "busy" but not "effective," and you propose the trade-offs needed to optimize the ROI.
Executive Storytelling: You build clean, precise strategy decks using Google Slides and Google Sheets. Every slide must have a single, clear message supported by evidence.
Materiality Judgment: You distinguish between "noise" and "signal." You can explain why a 1% shift can matter more than a 10% spike.
Structured Framework Application: Structure every analysis using the Pyramid Principle (leading with the answer) or Problem-Evidence-Analysis-Solution.
What You’ll Bring:
Academic Excellence (Required): Recent graduate (or graduating soon) from a top-tier university with a high GPA
Quantitative Foundation: A degree in a rigorous quantitative or analytical discipline (Applied Economics, Statistics, Finance, Business Analytics, Engineering, Math, etc). You are comfortable with variance, distributions, and financial modeling.
Structured Communication: You naturally organize your thoughts into a logical flow (Situation → Complication → Resolution). You hate "data dumps" and love clear conclusions.
Tool Proficiency: You are a power user of Google Sheets/Excel. You understand how to build models that are clean, easy for others to follow, and logically sound. *Note: This is a strategy and communication role. While we are an AI company, your primary tools will be logic, Google Slides, and the Pyramid Principle - not SQL or Python.*
The "So What?" Lens: A natural ability to look beyond metric fluctuations and ask: "Is this actually driving our core business goals, or is it just an outlier?"
Bonus Points:
Internship or coursework exposure to management consulting, strategy, or financial audit
Experience writing decision memos, strategy briefs, or executive summaries
What Success Looks Like:
First 30 Days: You have mastered our internal trend reports. You can explain the business logic behind every chart our data team produces.
First 60 Days: You are building end-to-end analysis decks. You can defend why you chose specific metrics to present and how those metrics materially impact the client's forecast.
First 90 Days: You have standardized our "Strategic Storytelling" templates. You are the go-to partner for the VP of Revenue, ensuring every client presentation is logically sound and executive-ready.
Benefits:
15-Day Vacation & Paid Time Off
Dental and Medical Benefits
Compensation:
$90,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
