The Opportunity:

The Data Reporting Analyst will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI. This role involves transforming raw data into actionable insights, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, and ensuring data accuracy and security.

Key Accountabilities:

Design & Development:

Create and maintain Power BI reports, apps and semantic models.
Develop DAX measures and calculations to support business KPIs.
Support the development of our data platform by working closely with our Data Engineer on data architecture, data modelling and testing

Data Integration & Transformation:

Connect to our Fabric data platform and work with data in our Silver and Gold layers
Optimise data models for performance and scalability.

Collaboration & Requirements Gathering:

Work with business teams to capture reporting needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Conduct workshops and provide training on Power BI usage.

Quality & Governance:

Validate data accuracy and maintain documentation for all reports.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on Power BI features and best practices.
Suggest enhancements to improve reporting efficiency and user experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query).
Experience with SQL and relational databases.
Knowledge of Azure services (Data Factory, Synapse Analytics) is a plus.
Ability to design star schemas and optimise data models for BI solutions.
Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and explain technical concepts clearly.
Familiarity with Excel, Python/R for advanced analytics is desirable.
