My client is seeking a Director or Senior Director of Data Science & AI to lead enterprise-wide AI strategy, modernize our data platforms, and scale intelligent solutions across a regulated healthcare environment.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for translating advanced analytics and machine learning into real-world impact for our business and the members we serve.

You will sit at the intersection of AI innovation, cloud modernization, and executive decision-making, shaping how data and intelligent systems power the future of my client.

What You’ll Do

Define and lead enterprise AI and data science strategy aligned to business objectives
Build and scale agentic AI solutions, including intelligent automation, chatbots, and decision-support systems
Oversee modernization of AWS-based data and analytics platforms, including legacy migrations
Partner with product, engineering, and business leaders to embed AI into customer-facing platforms
Translate complex technical concepts into clear executive insights and recommendations
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing organization of 50+ data science, AI, and analytics professionals
Establish governance for HIPAA/PHI-compliant data environments, security, and data masking
Drive measurable ROI and business value from AI and machine learning initiatives
Influence roadmap prioritization across data platforms, APIs, and analytics tooling

What We’re Looking For

Senior leadership experience in Data Science, AI, or Advanced Analytics
Deep expertise in cloud platforms, with a strong preference for AWS
Proven experience applying AI and machine learning in healthcare, insurance, or regulated industries
Strong understanding of HIPAA, PHI, and data governance
Ability to operate at both executive and hands-on technical levels
Track record of building and leading large, multidisciplinary teams
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
