Senior Software Engineer – AWS AI / Contact Centre Solutions

Contract | Initial 3 months | Hybrid (UK-based)

We’re working with a large, well-established organisation that is expanding its engineering capability and is looking to hire Senior Software Engineers with strong experience in AI-driven contact centre solutions.

This is a hands-on, senior-level role focused on building and enhancing cloud-based contact centre platforms using AWS AI services. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop and support scalable, production-grade solutions.

The role:

Design, develop and maintain software solutions using AWS AI services such as Amazon Lex, Contact Flows and Webchat
Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise-scale contact centre platforms
Write clean, efficient and maintainable code using TypeScript
Promote and implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and infrastructure as code
Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring high engineering standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the application and cloud stack
Work collaboratively with engineering, product and operational teams

Key requirements:

Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or similar role
Strong hands-on experience with AWS, particularly Amazon Lex and related AI/ML services
Experience delivering AI contact centre solutions in medium to large-scale organisations
Strong TypeScript / modern JavaScript development experience
Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tooling (CI/CD, serverless, monitoring)
Experience integrating contact centre technologies
Strong problem-solving ability and excellent communication skills

Nice to have:

Experience with additional AWS AI services
Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices
Strong understanding of cloud security best practices
Experience working in Agile environments

Contract details:

Initial 3-month contract (with potential to extend)
Hybrid working – remote with occasional travel to office locations as required
