We’re looking for an experienced Director of Service Operations to join a large, complex organisation on an initial 6 month contract.

The focus of this role is to stabilise and improve service operations, bring consistency where maturity varies, and set a clear direction for how services are designed, transitioned and run. You’ll be working in a scaled environment with multiple platforms, teams and delivery partners, so this suits someone comfortable operating in complexity and change.

What you’ll be doing

Leading service operations across a large technology estate
Assessing current maturity and putting a practical improvement plan in place
Embedding service design, transition and management practices
Improving service stability, quality and customer experience
Leading internal teams and external suppliers
Acting as a senior partner to technology and business leaders

What we’re looking for

Previous experience at Head of or Director of Service Operations level
Strong background improving service operations in low maturity or fast growth environments
Hands on experience with service management and ITSM tools
Confident, pragmatic and delivery focused

ITIL v4 certification and experience in complex or regulated environments is useful but not essential.

This is a high impact interim role with clear ownership and a strong chance of extension.
