Job Responsibilities

Conduct in‑depth analysis and research to attribute cyber threats and attacks, identifying threat actors, their motivations, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and assessing potential impact to the organization.
Classify, categorize, and analyze malware and related threats to support detection, containment, and remediation.
Monitor and assess the global threat landscape, including threat actors, malware campaigns, emerging exploit techniques, and geopolitical events that may affect the organization.
Define, track, and report metrics on overall threat activity and trends affecting both internal and external environments.
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely, actionable threat intelligence that supports incident response, vulnerability management, and broader cybersecurity initiatives.
Design, implement, and administer enterprise solutions that proactively search for and identify malicious activity across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
Correlate SIEM and other threat feeds with current risk assessments to prioritize threats and drive response efforts.
Develop and maintain threat profiles, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and tactical reports to enhance detection rules and response playbooks.
Perform root cause analysis of security incidents and provide recommendations for preventive and compensating controls.
Continuously refine threat intelligence processes, methodologies, and tooling to keep defenses aligned with evolving threats.
Stay current on emerging threats, tools, and techniques, and incorporate relevant best practices into day‑to‑day operations.
Support threat assessment initiatives such as security assessments, red/blue team exercises, and penetration testing.
Present findings, trends, and risk insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify hidden or previously undetected threats that may bypass preventive and detective controls.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information technology, computer information systems, MIS, or engineering preferred; equivalent combination of associate degree, military or professional cybersecurity experience, and relevant certifications will be considered.
2+ years of hands‑on cybersecurity experience (e.g., security operations, incident response, threat hunting, or threat intelligence).
One or more cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, MCSE, CEH, GICSP, CSSA, or CISM is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

Solid understanding of cyber threats, attack vectors, and common exploitation techniques across endpoint, network, and cloud environments.
Experience with threat hunting techniques using endpoint telemetry, network traffic, and log data.
Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms, open‑source intelligence tools, and SIEM technologies.
Ability to identify and map attacker TTPs to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.
Understanding of enterprise architectures and large, distributed IT environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
