Java Senior Developer

Responsibilities

As a Java Senior Developer, you will:

Maintain active relationships with the Product Owner to understand business requirements, lead requirement-gathering meetings, and review designs

Own backlog items and coordinate with other team members to develop features planned for each sprint

Perform technical design reviews and code reviews

Be responsible for prototyping, developing, and troubleshooting software in the UI or service layers

Perform peer reviews on source code to ensure reuse, scalability, and best practices

Participate in collaborative technical discussions focusing on software UX, design, architecture, and development

Perform demonstrations for client stakeholders on project features and sub-features using the latest frontend and backend technologies

Requirements

6+ years of experience in Java/JEE development

Experience developing applications using multi-tier architecture

Knowledge of Google Cloud / AWS

Strong hands-on experience with:

Java/JEE, Spring, Spring Boot

REST/SOAP Web Services

Hibernate, SQL

Tomcat, WebSphere Application Server

SONAR, Agile, AJAX, Jenkins

Experience in UML, application design/architecture, and design patterns

Experience in unit testing using JUnit or similar frameworks

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to provide overlap coverage with onsite/customer teams until 9:00 PM IST

Capability to support QA teams with test plans, root cause analysis, and defect fixing

Strong experience in responsive design and cross-browser web applications

Strong knowledge of web service models

Strong experience in creating and working with APIs

Experience with cloud services, specifically Google Cloud

Strong exposure to Agile and Scaled Agile development models

Familiarity with REST web services, Swagger profiles, and JSON payloads

Familiarity with tools such as Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence
