Junior React Front-End Developer

Location: Cleveland, OH (5 days on-site)

Type: 12 month Contract-to-Hire

Overview

Our client is looking for an entry-level Front-End Developer who is eager to grow their skills in React and Web Content Management Systems (CMS). This role is well-suited for someone early in their career who enjoys front-end development, is comfortable learning new tools, and is excited to contribute to modernizing web applications. You’ll work alongside experienced developers and business stakeholders, receiving guidance and access to training materials as you build and support component-driven front-end solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing and maintaining front-end applications using React.
Build, update, and troubleshoot basic React components.
Support ongoing efforts to modernize legacy applications (some originally built in .NET).
Learn and work within various Web CMS platforms, including OpenText Web Experience Management (training provided).
Collaborate with business and technical teams to understand requirements.
Help investigate and resolve issues related to user experience or data flow, with guidance as needed.
Use recorded OpenText training materials to ramp up quickly.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

Academic, project, internship, or early professional experience with front-end development.
Basic proficiency with React and component-based development.
Willingness to learn CMS tools and work in a code-agnostic environment.
Exposure to any Web CMS is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with cloud concepts (AWS exposure is helpful).
Strong problem-solving interest and willingness to ask questions.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Some experience with OpenText Web Experience Management (even if limited).
Exposure to .NET or migrating content/applications from legacy systems.
