Overview

Seeking an Electrical Engineer to support front-end R&D for the development of energy-based handheld medical devices used in surgical applications. This role focuses on early-stage product development, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Support electrical design and development from concept through early prototyping
Design, execute, and document electrical test procedures and engineering studies
Perform electrical troubleshooting and root cause analysis during development and testing
Generate technical documentation (theory of operation, design rationale, reports)
Collaborate with mechanical, biomechanical, and systems engineers on device integration
Conduct hands-on bench and lab testing, including tissue-based evaluations
Participate in design reviews and cross-functional technical discussions
Translate system requirements into electrical designs and evaluate trade-offs
Contribute to PCBA design, including schematics, simulation, prototyping, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience in medical device product development
Strong background in analog and digital circuit design
Experience designing and documenting electrical tests and engineering studies
Proficiency with Cadence and/or Altium
Experience with PCBA design, prototyping, and manufacturing support
Experience with embedded electrical design

Preferred Experience

Energy-based or RF medical devices
Tissue lab or lab-based device testing
Early-stage R&D and new feature development
