Overview
The Business Analyst will provide end-to-end business analysis services for ongoing and new integrations, acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams to ensure clear requirements, alignment, and successful delivery of digital health solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead and conduct business analysis activities to assess business problems and opportunities
Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
Facilitate requirements reviews, obtain approvals, and manage requirement traceability
Act as a subject matter expert for developers and QA teams, providing clarification and guidance
Conduct business analysis in alignment with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture, gating processes, and standard SDLC methodologies
Develop and document use cases, user stories, process flows, and data models
Lead requirements gathering sessions including interviews, JAD sessions, workshops, and mockups
Perform business process modeling, functional modeling, event modeling, and data flow modeling
Translate business and data requirements into technical specifications to support solution design
Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and cost–benefit analyses for I&IT initiatives
Define and monitor performance measures for business analysis deliverables and conduct follow-ups
Mandatory Requirements
10+ years of experience leading and conducting business analysis
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proven experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills
Experience translating business and data requirements into technical specifications
Strong knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices
Hands-on experience with business analysis techniques, including Business process mapping, Business functional modeling, Business event modeling, Use case modeling and Data flow and process modeling
Experience working with structured, object-oriented, and Agile methodologies
Experience developing performance measures and traceability matrices
Knowledge and application of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards
Ability to deliver a full range of I&IT business analysis services across diverse business and technology environments
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in the public sector
Experience with FHIR standards
Experience using Confluence and JIRA
Awareness of emerging I&IT trends and technologies
Experience supporting healthcare, digital health, or system integration initiatives
