About The Role
ATB 101 is a 4 month work experience and engagement program with a summer intake! Our ATB 101 students play an integral role in the success of our business. As an ATB 101 student you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to ATB through challenging, meaningful and diverse opportunities and make a positive impact for our clients and each other. Oh and we promise you’ll have a lot of fun doing it!

As ATB’s next Mortgage Operations Student, you will provide support to various internal and external audiences, ATB mortgage services, accounts payable and CFO teams as required, and are responsible for the regular production and analysis of a growing suite of reports. The reports will vary in content, and you must accordingly have a broad-based knowledge of finance and risk principles as well as other aspects of the financial services industry. You will process incentive commission-based pay for Mortgage Specialists and Broker Partners. Through incentive commissions, management platform and administration of draw mortgage applications, and build inspection requests.
Accountabilities
Processing/calculating commission pay
Investigating incorrect commission cases and make proper corrections
Responsible for analysis and reporting. Analysis involves both “as-is” and “to-be” environments. Including business and/or project objectives and solution design.
Responding to inquiries, issues and requests related to draw mortgages.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external ATB business partners to ensure consistency of direction is maintained.
Provide support to seniors and leader in developing new platforms and processes in day to day operations and reports. While identifying and new improved process and efficiency improvements.
Requirements for ATB 101
Currently enrolled in a degree program of Economics, Finance or Sciences is required
Exceptional customer service orientation, demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional customer relationships.
Strong analytical, problem-solving,and planning skills, with the ability to be decisive, creative and flexible
Ability to demonstrate to identify and implement effective, creative solutions within established policies
High attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Thorough knowledge and willingness to learn about mortgages and builds
Additional Information
This is a temporary 4 month opportunity. This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site a week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
