KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern, Risk Services - Technology for our Advisory practice.
Responsibilities
Help support the delivery of Cybersecurity and Technology Risk client engagements through the execution of assigned tasks based on the engagement objectives
Help identify and remediate complex business, technology and cyber challenges leveraging KPMG frameworks and methodologies, inclusive of leveraging artificial intelligence and automation tools and technologies in delivering client projects
Research and understand technology risk and cyber security related topics, concepts, tools and processes to support client delivery
May provide support with some of the following areas: identity & access management, GRC, design and/or implementation of infrastructure/platform/software security, IT risk and security assessment (inclusive of major enterprise applications (SAP, Oracle, Workday, ServiceNow) and technical infrastructure), data protection and privacy impact assessment, data classification or information governance, enterprise information security strategy, compliance monitoring and user awareness campaign, data leakage/content monitoring and filtering or data encryption and compliance readiness
Develop and implement specialized risk management strategies tailored to technology environments, including cybersecurity risk assessments and incident response plans
Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to align risk analysis with technology strategies and ensure risk management measures are integrated into technology operations
Research and stay updated on emerging technology risks and industry best practices in order to provide proactive recommendations for risk mitigation and continuous improvement in technology systems and processes
Prepare and deliver detailed reports and presentations on technology risks and recommended solutions to clients and internal teams, ensuring information is accessible and actionable
Operate with integrity, professionalism and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications
Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors or Masters Degree in IT/Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Accounting or Finance with an Information Technology concentration/double major or related degree from an accredited college or university
Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
Knowledge of data analysis techniques
Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, demonstrated quality service mindset and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay.
