This role is ideal for an experienced application developer passionate about building engaging social media platforms. You will join an early-stage project focused on travel, where users can interact with a world map, log their journeys, and share experiences. The project is in its initial development phase, and your expertise will be crucial in shaping core features and ensuring a seamless user experience. There is potential for ongoing collaboration as the platform evolves.

Deliverables

Collaborate on the continued development of a travel-focused social media app
Implement an interactive world map feature for users to log and share travel locations
Integrate user profiles, social sharing, and location-based functionalities
Optimize app performance and ensure a responsive, intuitive user interface
Provide technical guidance and suggest improvements based on best practices
Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and ongoing feature enhancements

Requirements

Proven experience in mobile app development (iOS, Android, or cross-platform frameworks)
Strong proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Flutter)
Experience with interactive map APIs and geolocation services
Solid understanding of social media platform architecture and user engagement features
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Availability for ongoing collaboration as the project develops
