Role Description

As an App Engineer Intern at GenPark, you will work in a hybrid capacity, based in Toronto, ON, with the flexibility of occasional remote work. In this internship role, you will collaborate with the engineering team to design, develop, and deploy app features, troubleshoot and debug software issues, and contribute to enhancing the overall user experience. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools and technologies and participate in brainstorming sessions to explore new functionalities and optimize existing ones, all while following best practices in software development and agile methodologies.

Qualifications

Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java, with familiarity in frameworks like React or Flutter
Basic knowledge of mobile application development for Android and iOS platforms
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills in software systems
Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Previous experience with AI technologies or interest in AI-related fields is a plus
Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a fast-paced innovative environment
