Backend Engineer (Mid/Senior)

Stack: Node.js, Typescript/Javascript, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, AWS

Location: NW London, Hybrid

The Package: £60,000 - £65,000 + generous holidays

My client, a leading DTC e-commerce brand just got huge investment to scale it's digital team. You'll be joining at the perfect moment - established product, proven revenue, but now with serious capital and a mandate to double the tech team.

This role will sit within the eCommerce squad and you'll be working on business logic automation, payments and mitigating downtime incidents through scalable and secure backend development.

Node.js for Backend development
RESTful APIs & GraphQL
AWS Cloud
PostgreSQL
React.js & Typescript

What You'll Actually Be Doing:

Architect and build resilient backend services using Node.js, including scalable APIs, webhook-driven workflows, background task processing, and reliable integrations with internal and external systems.
Design and manage data flows by working with databases, data models, service-to-service communication patterns, and failure-tolerant operational logic.
Establish clear technical foundations through well-documented patterns, maintainable code structures, and development practices that support consistent, scalable backend engineering.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level Engineer looking to step up into a more Senior role, working alongside an exceptionally talented team.
