Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in C# and modern .NET to design, build, and support high-performance distributed systems in a Capital Markets / FinTech environment.

This is a senior-level, hands-on role for someone who understands backend architecture, scalable systems, and financial market data, and is passionate about delivering robust, production-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain resilient, distributed backend systems using C# and modern .NET
Own backend architecture and system design, applying industry-standard design patterns and architectural patterns
Build scalable services handling large volumes of financial and market data
Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code
Collaborate closely with business, trading, and risk teams to support mission-critical systems
Participate in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support as needed
Support business priorities and deliver consistently under tight deadlines
Must-Have Qualifications
10+ years of professional software development experience
Strong expertise in C# and .NET (.NET Core / .NET 5 / .NET 6) with solid .NET Framework background
Deep understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and asynchronous programming
Proven experience designing and implementing distributed systems
Strong knowledge of backend system design and architecture
Experience working with large datasets and high-throughput systems
Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
Strong problem-solving skills and a delivery-focused mindset
Nice-to-Have Skills
Functional knowledge of Python
Experience in Capital Markets or FinTech
Exposure to Risk Systems and Pricing Model Integration
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Passion for technology and large-scale system design
Major Plus / Preferred Experience
Capital Markets domain experience (strongly preferred)
Knowledge of Equity Derivatives, including pricing and risk
Hands-on experience integrating with market data vendors such as:
Bloomberg
Markit
Ultumus
Totem (or similar)
Understanding of market data concepts:
ETF & Index composition
Volatility surfaces
Dividends
Correlations
Practical experience with:
Distributed messaging platforms
Unix/Linux and Windows servers
Docker and Kubernetes
