Technical Lead (C# / C++) – Algorithmic Trading

RJC are partnered with an energy trader in Paris looking for an experienced Technical Lead to drive the design and development of high-performance trading systems in a fast-paced algorithmic trading environment.

This role is hands-on and leadership-focused: you’ll be setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and building low-latency, highly reliable systems that operate at scale.

What You’ll Do

Lead the architecture and development of core trading and market-data systems
Design and optimize low-latency, high-throughput applications
Work closely with quants and traders to translate strategies into production-ready code
Own code quality, performance, and reliability across the stack
Mentor and guide a team of strong engineers
Drive best practices around testing, deployment, and system design

What We’re Looking For

Strong commercial experience with C# and/or C++
Algorithmic trading or electronic trading experience is required
Deep understanding of performance optimization, concurrency, and system design
Experience leading technical teams or acting as a senior technical authority
Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic engineering mindset

Nice to Have

Low-latency systems, market data, or exchange connectivity experience
Linux environments and modern CI/CD practices
Background working closely with quantitative teams
