Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst (FP&A)
Location: San Rafael, CA (Hybrid – onsite Tuesday & Thursday)
Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Compensation: $55-60/hr DOQ
Type: Contract
Start/End Dates: 1/26/2026 – 7/31/2026

Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will support Financial Planning & Analysis activities focused on operating expense budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. This role delivers actionable insights through rigorous financial analysis, advanced Excel modeling, and data visualization to inform strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

Support annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes, including template development, input consolidation, and detailed variance analysis.

Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives.

Prepare monthly financial reporting packages with clear performance insights versus budget and forecast.

Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

Produce ad hoc analyses and reports to support business decisions and leadership requests.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance roles.

Advanced Excel modeling skills; Power BI proficiency preferred.

Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting methodologies, and business drivers.

Experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Hyperion/Essbase, Anaplan) preferred.

Demonstrated ability to communicate financial insights clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.

Self-directed, detail-oriented professional with strong accountability and problem-solving skills.
