Position Title: Business Analyst (Product Owner)
Location: Houston Texas 77002 (Hybrid 4 Days Onsite - 1 Day Remote)
Duration: 06 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)

Job Summary:
The Business Analyst may be asked to act in a Product Owner–like capacity, serving as the bridge between key stakeholders and the development team. This includes maintaining and prioritizing a backlog and adjusting priorities as business needs evolve, making prior experience in this type of role highly valuable.
On a day-to-day basis, the role focuses on analyzing business needs, engaging with stakeholders to understand current processes, mapping improved ways of working, and supporting projects end to end. The team is highly collaborative, results-driven, and entrepreneurial, so flexibility, proactivity, and comfort with ambiguity are essential. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, adaptable team player, hands-on, and able to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy in a fast-paced environment.
This role sits within the Consumer Home Energy Customer Success organization, supporting cross-functional initiatives that deliver projects, products, and enhancements. The Senior Business Analyst will identify solutions that meet business needs for both internal and external stakeholders and work across agile (Scrum/Kanban) and waterfall methodologies. Success in this role requires the ability to multitask, adapt to shifting priorities, and continuously grow agile and product knowledge.
Minimum Requirements:
5+ years as a Business Analyst supporting business process and system improvements
Experience working as a or acting as a Product Owner role within Agile
Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams
Recent hands-on experience with Power BI and Visio
Proficiency in Excel
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include partnering with business and IT stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into user stories, assessing solution options, performing gap analysis, mapping current and future-state processes, supporting testing and UAT, and ensuring delivery meets scope, quality, and timeline expectations.
