About Skillscaper

Skillscaper is a French deep-tech company building next-generation immersive assessment platforms for governments, enterprises, and large institutions.

Our flagship product, TACLE (Test of Actual Communication Level in English), is a scenario-based, non-linear assessment where candidates interact with realistic video situations and are evaluated on real-life communication skills.

We are currently in a critical phase, preparing enterprise pilots and investor demos.

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Full Stack Developer with strong AWS expertise to take ownership of both product stability and cloud infrastructure reliability.

This is not a “ticket execution” role.

This is a high-responsibility engineering role in an early-stage startup.

You will directly impact:

user experience
platform reliability
security
scalability
and business credibility

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack:

Debug and stabilize complex user flows (authentication, invitations, access rights, product visibility)
Work on frontend and backend issues end-to-end
Improve state management and data consistency
Fix real production-level bugs, not theoretical ones

AWS / Cloud:

Diagnose and manage CloudFront, WAF, and security rules
Understand and fix issues related to:
rate limits
caching
403 errors
session handling
Work with:
EC2 / containers
IAM
API gateways
monitoring and logs
Ensure the platform behaves reliably under real user activity

Required Profile

Must-have:

Senior Full Stack Developer (5+ years)
Real production experience on AWS
Comfortable debugging infrastructure and application together
Strong problem-solving mindset
Able to work without detailed specifications
Comfortable in early-stage startup environments

Highly appreciated:

Experience with SaaS platforms
Experience with EdTech / HR Tech
Experience with authentication systems
Experience with multi-tenant architectures
Experience with CloudFront, WAF, rate limiting, security policies

Compensation Model (Important – Please Read Carefully)

This role starts in a pre-revenue / pre-funding phase.

Compensation is:

Fully retroactive
Triggered by:
first commercial sales (expected within less than 2 months)
and/or seed funding

All work done is paid retroactively from day one, based on an agreed monthly rate.
