Job Specifications
Senior Oracle Fusion Data & Analytics Specialist (FDI / Power BI)
12-month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Croydon (3 days per week)
Salary: £80,000–£90,000
The Opportunity
Our client is entering a critical phase of its Oracle Fusion journey and is looking to appoint a seasoned, hands-on Oracle Fusion Data & Analytics specialist to build its Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI) capability from the ground up.
This is a new, high-impact role sitting on the programme side, with responsibility for designing the data architecture, enabling secure and trusted reporting, and embedding long-term capability within the BAU team. There is no existing FDI footprint, you will be creating the foundations, not inheriting them.
If you enjoy starting something meaningful, shaping “what good looks like,” and working in a collaborative but autonomous environment, this is a rare and exciting opportunity.
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting & Analytics
Design and maintain operational, statutory, and management reports using Oracle Fusion tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, Fusion Analytics Warehouse).
Partner with Finance, HR, Payroll, and Procurement to deliver automated, standardised reporting.
Produce Federation, Cluster, and Academy-level reporting, including EPM and BromCom integrations.
Maintain a central reporting catalogue and data dictionary.
Data Quality & Governance
Validate and reconcile reports to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
Support a single source of truth across people and finance data.
Ensure adherence to data protection, audit, and safeguarding standards.
Maintain documentation, version control, and change management.
User Enablement & Improvement
Support users with Oracle Fusion reporting and deliver targeted training.
Embed reporting capability and data literacy across teams.
Drive automation, enhancements, and smooth transition into BAU.
What Success Looks Like
Within 6–12 months:
People are actively using Oracle data daily.
Reports are understandable, trusted, and actionable.
FDI is established as a secure, scalable reporting platform.
BAU colleagues are confident and capable, with no reporting bottlenecks.
Reporting is a core enabler of decision-making, not a blocker.
What We’re Looking For
This is not a junior or theoretical role. We are looking for someone who has done this before.
Essential:
8-10+ years’ hands-on experience in data architecture, analytics, and reporting.
Deep, practical experience with Oracle Fusion Data Analytics (FDI / FAW).
Strong Power BI experience, including operational and executive reporting.
Solid experience with OTBI, BI Publisher, SQL, and Oracle subject areas.
Proven ability to design secure data structures and manage integrations.
Comfortable working autonomously.
Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge, escalate risks, and propose solutions.
Desirable:
Experience in public sector or highly regulated environments.
Experience integrating multiple systems and external data sources.
Familiarity with education, payroll, or large-scale people data environments.
