Contract Senior Full Stack Engineer

Location: UK Remote (Consultancy with Leeds & London HQ)

Day Rate: £475 per day INSIDE IR35

About the Role

WRK digital are proud to partner with a leading agile consultancy delivering high-impact projects in the tech-for-good space. We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineering Consultants to join the team on an inside IR35 contract. This role will focus on building and maintaining web applications using modern technologies, primarily Python and React, while contributing to the success of critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Python and React.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
Support live products and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Mentor and upskill engineers within the team.
Adapt to different tech stacks and environments as required.

Skills & Experience

Strong coding experience in at least two of the following: Python, JavaScript, Node.js, C#, Java.
Experience working within cloud environments, specifically AWS or Azure (or both).
Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
Good understanding of and experience working with agile methodologies.
Experience supporting live products and adapting to different tech stacks.
Proficiency with source control, particularly Git.
Experience with database technologies of some flavour.
Ability to mentor and upskill engineers.

Desirable

Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Knowledge of containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
Familiarity with performance optimisation and security best practices.

The contract is an initial engagement until March 31st (with a strong likelihood of renewal) working with a London based team working remote first, but you must be UK based for occasional onsite visits to Leeds or London.

You must be happy working INSIDE of IR35 for this project.
