Job Description

Infrastructure & Automation:

Engineer, implement, and manage secure cloud and hybrid environments using Azure and on-premise resources.
Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, OpenTofu, ARM templates, or Bicep.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid, repeatable, and safe deployments (, Azure DevOps, Env0). Env0 is highly sought after.
Assist in the migration of legacy on-premise systems to cloud-native architectures.
Ensure zero-downtime deployments and rolling updates where possible.

Cloud Operations

Build, maintain, and evolve monitoring, logging, and observability systems.
Proactively identify and remediate reliability risks across platforms and applications.
Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to manage incidents and drive post-incident reviews focused on learning and improvement.
Adhere to internal and external SLA and SLIs with a focus on world-class support.
Drive disaster recovery planning, testing, and readiness activities across all services.

Collaboration

Partner closely with the IT, software, and product departments to ensure infrastructure scalability and reliability are considered from design through production.
Provide technical mentorship to software teams on infrastructure, reliability, deployment, and cloud-native architecture best practices.
Champion operational visibility, system resilience, and automation at every layer.
Partner closely with the technical support and operations department in order to provide escalated support requests.
Own the change lifecycle at the requestor level for infrastructure change requests to the Change Approval Board (CAB), ensuring clear documentation of scope, risk, impact, rollback plans, and compliance with governance standards.
Maintain change documentation, participate in post-change reviews to assess outcomes, and continuously improve change management practices through risk analysis, feedback incorporation, and audit readiness.

Required

Skills and Experience:

4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related fields.
Expertise in Azure cloud services (AWS/GCP experience a plus).
Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Experience building and managing highly available, distributed systems.
Proven track record of managing and automating secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Azure Service Bus, Cosmos, RabbitMQ, MongoDB, and general distributed messaging and database systems.
Solid networking and security fundamentals (DNS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers).
Strong experience with monitoring, observability, and incident management processes.
Scripting or programming experience (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).

Preferred

Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect).
Experience with hybrid environments (on-premise + cloud) and IoT infrastructure.
Familiarity with chaos engineering, resilience testing, or advanced DR strategies.
Experience in a Lean or Agile environment focused on rapid, continuous delivery.

Mindset And Personal Attributes

Extreme ownership mentality — driven to deliver value, quality, and reliability.
Collaborative and communicative — you understand we win or lose as a team.
Passion for learning, solving hard problems, and continuous improvement.
Data-driven decision-maker — leverages metrics and monitoring to guide action.
Customer-first thinking — internal or external, systems must serve the end users.
Highly resilient — thrives under pressure, especially during incidents or escalations.
Able to forecast basic timelines for project managers and leadership.
Can work independently or collaboratively as part of a team or a mobbing group.
