Job Specifications

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps / ML Ops Engineer to lead core infrastructure responsibilities across DevOps, MLOps, and IT/security.

Location: Palo Alto, CA (Onsite Mon–Thu)

Type: Contract-to-Hire or Full-Time

Duration: 6 months (extension/CTH likely)

Responsibilities:

Manage Kubernetes clusters, including GPU resource scheduling, scaling, and performance optimization
Build and maintain automated ML pipelines (Kubeflow, Ray, etc.)
Support internal tools (Google Workspace, GitLab, CI/CD integrations)
Implement cybersecurity best practices
Troubleshoot HW/SW/network issues across the org
Drive high-impact DevOps and MLOps initiatives in a cross-functional engineering environment

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in CS, IT, or related field; Master’s/Ph.D. preferred
3+ years working with Kubernetes in production
Experience with ML lifecycle management and distributed model training
Strong automation and systems engineering background
Familiarity with MLOps tools like DVC, Pachyderm, Kubeflow, and ModelDB
Strong security awareness
Startup experience
Biological or chemistry domain knowledge is a plus
Leadership experience supporting engineering teams
