Job Description

Senior Software Engineer – Python
Location: Toronto Downtown, ON
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week on-site until March; 5 days/week on-site thereafter)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Interview Process:

Face-to-Face Interview required
For non-local candidates, Client will cover travel and accommodation expenses
Local candidates are expected to attend in person at their own expense

Key Responsibilities:"

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Python applications
Lead and contribute to system design and architecture discussions
Build scalable, secure, and reliable backend services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps
Review code, mentor junior engineers, and promote best engineering practices
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing systems

Required Skills & Experience

9+ years of total software development experience
3–6 years of hands-on experience with Python
Strong expertise in system design and distributed systems
Experience working on large-scale, enterprise applications
Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and backend engineering principles
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Educational Requirements (Mandatory)

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or computer science from a Canadian university,
Degree from prestigious Indian institutions (IIT / IIM
