Position: Director, Digital Transformation and AI Strategy
We are seeking a strategic and impact-driven Director, Digital Transformation and AI Strategy to lead our global network’s efforts in shaping the future of AI and emerging technologies. While AI is a primary focus, this role spans across broader digital transformation and emerging technology levers—automation, advanced analytics, blockchain, cloud, and agentic AI—that are reshaping the professional services industry.
The role starts with strategy development, ensuring our network defines and aligns AI and emerging tech strategies at both the global, service line, and firm levels. It also plays a central role in governance—acting as the “glue” of the network—by coordinating task forces, leading conversations, and building a shared framework for responsible, scalable, and measurable AI and emerging tech adoption.
This position is critical in driving the global technology strategy output, supporting firms in developing use cases, and strengthening external partnerships that accelerate adoption.
Key accountabilities
Strategy & Governance
Lead the development of the global AI and emerging tech strategy, including service line–specific digital transformation roadmaps and priorities.
Act as the coordinator and facilitator of the network-wide AI and emerging tech governance framework, connecting multidisciplinary task forces and ensuring coherence across firms and service lines.
Serve as the strategic link with other digital and technology functions to ensure alignment and integration.
Oversee the responsible AI and emerging tech agenda, including regulatory monitoring, ethical frameworks, and best practices.
Market Intelligence & Technology Scanning
Continuously monitor AI and emerging tech developments (competitors, vendors, new tools, market shifts) and assess their relevance to professional services.
Conduct market scans to identify opportunity pipelines and translate them into actionable insights for firms, industries, and service lines.
Build and maintain an AI and emerging tech inventory across the network, facilitating discovery, visibility, and identification of gaps or overlaps.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
Drive strategic partnerships with technology providers and vendors to strengthen capabilities and accelerate adoption.
Actively initiate demos and proof-of-concepts, ensuring firms are exposed to cutting-edge tools and innovations.
Explore opportunities for agentic AI and other frontier technologies, assessing their impact on service line workflows
Enablement & Advisory
Support firms in developing and scaling use cases in AI and emerging tech, acting as a trusted advisor on adoption pathways, responsible AI, emerging technology, and change management.
Run “AI Strategy Clinics” or “AI in a Day” workshops with service lines to accelerate awareness, alignment, and capability-building.
Provide structured innovation advisory, translating complex trends into practical business insights and opportunities.
Process Mapping & Pipeline Development
Collaborate with firms and service leads to map core business processes and workflows.
Within these processes and workflows, identify and prioritise concrete opportunities where AI and emerging tech can improve processes and deliver measurable business impact.
Value Realisation & Measurement
Define and track KPIs and value measures for AI and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring adoption translates into measurable outcomes.
Report regularly on progress and business value delivered.

12+ years of relevant experience in AI strategy, digital transformation, or innovation, ideally within a top-tier consultancy or tech company.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver AI and emerging technology strategies at both enterprise and service line levels.
Familiarity with accounting, audit, tax, and advisory workflows and the ability to spot where technology can create tangible improvements.
Prior involvement in multi-country or multi-firm transformation programs, with proven success in aligning diverse stakeholders.
Technical & Market Knowledge
Solid understanding of the AI and adjacent emerging technology ecosystem and be able to assess, apply, and articulate the impact to professional services.
