Integration Engineer - Contract

An established digital health technology provider is looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to join on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading on the design and development of integration solutions to support new and existing deployments
Providing SME-level guidance on integration tooling and best practices
Owning technical documentation for customer-specific integration solutions
Supporting code quality through reviews, asset management and change approvals
Investigating and resolving complex integration issues in live environments
Acting as a trusted, customer-facing technical specialist
Sharing knowledge and supporting skills development within the wider team

Required experience:

Proven background delivering integration solutions within the UK healthcare sector
Strong hands-on experience with HL7 v2 messaging and healthcare integrations
Practical experience with integration engines such as Mirth or similar scripting-based tools
Solid understanding of Agile delivery and DevOps principles
Broad technical knowledge including databases, cloud fundamentals, security and integration patterns
Experience with technologies such as SQL, Linux (RedHat), DICOM, messaging queues, FHIR or automation tools is highly desirable

This is a fully remote, Outside IR35 contract, ideal for an integration specialist who enjoys working on complex healthcare systems and making a tangible impact in live clinical environments.
