The Role

We are hiring a Research Analyst to focus on industrial developments and energy infrastructure projects, including:

Power generation (natural gas, renewables, nuclear, battery storage)
Large-scale industrial facilities
Transmission and grid infrastructure
Major capital-intensive development projects

This role requires strong analytical rigor, comfort with regulatory and technical documentation, and the ability to extract actionable insights from complex project disclosures.

What You’ll Do

Track industrial and energy infrastructure projects across their lifecycle (proposal → permitting → financing → construction → commissioning)
Review regulatory filings, environmental assessments, utility interconnection requests, municipal documentation, and investor disclosures
Analyze capital expenditure trends, project timelines, and capacity metrics (MW, generation type, grid interconnection status)
Maintain structured datasets and ensure data integrity across projects
Identify patterns in infrastructure investment, permitting timelines, and regional development trends
Support research outputs used by institutional and investment-focused clients

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Systems, Environmental Studies, or a related analytical field
Strong written and analytical skills with the ability to produce structured, source-backed research
Experience conducting regulatory or infrastructure-related research
Proficiency in Excel (data structuring, modeling basics, quality control)
Ability to interpret technical documents (permits, grid filings, environmental reviews, feasibility studies)
Strong attention to detail (capacity metrics, timelines, financing structures)
Ability to work independently in a fast-moving research environment

Nice to Have

Exposure to energy markets, infrastructure investing, or industrial project finance
Familiarity with U.S. permitting frameworks
Understanding of power markets, grid interconnection processes, or generation economics
SQL or Python experience

Compensation Range

$55.000 - $75,000 CAD Fixed Salary + Variable target compensation based on KPI achievements and Company Stock options.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience.
