SR Socially Relevant™ Film Festival New York, founded in 2013 by actress and filmmaker Nora Armani, is a nonprofit organization focused on promoting films with socially conscious themes. The festival aims to raise awareness of social issues, foster understanding, and encourage positive social change through cinema. Since its inception, SRFF has screened over 795 films from 40 countries, showcasing meaningful stories that highlight human interest and advocate for a better world. Supported by prominent figures like Amy Goodman, Erin Brockovich, and Martin Sheen, SRFF continues to create a platform for impactful storytelling and community engagement.

Role Description

This is a hybrid internship role, based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work. The Social Media Marketing Intern will assist with planning, creating, and managing social media campaigns for SRFF. Responsibilities include crafting engaging content for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, analyzing social media metrics, and supporting the promotion of upcoming events and initiatives to increase festival visibility and audience engagement.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation
Knowledge of Digital Marketing and general Marketing concepts
Strong Communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences
Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with graphic design tools and analytics platforms is a plus
Interest in socially relevant films, storytelling, and promoting meaningful entertainment
