Automation Engineer – Space Industry | Kortrijk

Our Space Automation Department currently consists of three dedicated team members: a department head, one automation engineer, and one electrical engineer.

We are now entering an exciting phase of expansion, aiming to grow this department to around eight members in the long term.

To support this growth and strengthen our position in the space technology sector, we are looking for a Commercial Automation Engineer.

Job Description

Define the department’s future strategy together with the department head;
Actively identify and develop new business opportunities within the space and high-tech industries;
Build long-term relationships with clients, research partners, and suppliers;
Prepare quotations and technical proposals in close collaboration with the department head;
Work alongside colleagues to ensure smooth execution of automation projects for space systems, testing setups, and advanced manufacturing.

Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electromechanics, Automation, or a related engineering field;
Experience in industrial automation, preferably within aerospace, robotics, or high-precision environments;
Dynamic and personable, energized by client interaction and technological innovation;
Fluent Dutch speaker with good knowledge of French and English;
Independent, structured, and results-oriented, with a passion for space technology.
