Job Specifications

Job Title: Data Engineer (Scala / Spark / ETL / Snowflake)

Location: Montreal, CA ( 3 days onsite is must)

Duration: 12 Months

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with strong ETL experience and expertise in SQL and RDBMS environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Scala and Apache Spark, and experience with Snowflake is highly preferred. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable data pipelines for large-scale data processing.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy robust data pipelines for batch and real-time processing
Develop ETL workflows using Scala and Apache Spark
Work with SQL and RDBMS systems for data transformation and optimization
Optimize performance of data processing jobs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve data and pipeline issues

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Apache Spark
Hands-on ETL development experience
Solid experience in functional programming
Strong proficiency in Scala
Advanced SQL skills and experience with RDBMS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent troubleshooting capabilities
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure

Preferred Skills:

Hands-on experience with Snowflake
Experience designing scalable cloud-based data architectures
