Senior Marketing Manager – UK (Contract)

Location: Hybrid, 4 days/week onsite in London

Day Rate: £425 - £475/day

Overview:

This is a senior, hands‑on marketing role responsible for leading all UK‑based marketing activity. The role focuses on planning integrated marketing campaigns, driving execution end‑to‑end, and using insights to improve performance and impact.

It suits someone who is highly organised, data‑driven, and confident partnering across sales, product, and global marketing teams.

What the Role Involves

1. Shaping Marketing Strategy

Own and guide UK marketing priorities, aligning them with internal teams and external partners.
Build campaign strategies, programmes, and promotions in collaboration with teams such as Integrated Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, and Partner Marketing.
Recommend the right go‑to‑market approach and support change management needed to land it.
Use understanding of customer segments and insights to shape market opportunities.

2. Planning & Executing Campaigns

Create detailed briefs, gather stakeholder feedback, and support full end‑to‑end execution.
Manage execution planning, remove blockers, and improve operational efficiency.
Develop customer journeys and content with a strong focus on inclusion, accessibility, and engagement.
Track customer feedback and liaise with customer support teams to improve experiences.

3. Measurement & Insights

Define KPIs for marketing activity and ensure teams adopt them.
Analyse performance data (financial, operational, product) to identify trends and recommend next steps.
Lead test‑and‑learn experiments and bring clear recommendations to senior audiences.
Use DEI-related metrics to assess risk areas and track progress across marketing initiatives.

4. Project & Stakeholder Management

Build and manage communication plans, ensuring stakeholders stay informed on progress and blockers.
Own workback schedules, milestones, and cross-team coordination.
Manage mid-to-large‑scale budgets and oversee financial reporting.
Resolve escalations and work effectively in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments.
Partner closely with an extended network across the business to share insights and improve execution.

What they’re looking for:

Must-have experience

4+ years in B2B marketing.
Strong experience running virtual events (Teams, Event Builder, LinkedIn Live).
Excellent communicator able to influence at all levels.
Strategic thinker with strong data interpretation skills.
Strong project management experience.
Ability to build relationships across globally dispersed teams.
Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice-to-have

AdTech or media marketing experience.
Previous Microsoft experience.
