Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with advanced expertise in Mainframe technologies to lead the design, development, and support of scalable enterprise solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM, along with leadership capabilities in Agile delivery environments. Domain experience in Investment and Retirement is highly preferred.

Debugging tools such as Xpediter and File-Aid

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Design

Architect, design, and develop scalable mainframe solutions
Lead code reviews and maintain technical documentation
Ensure adherence to best practices and enterprise standards

Development & Maintenance

Perform expert-level coding in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, and CICS
Maintain and enhance existing mainframe applications
Develop batch and online processing systems

System Performance & Support

Monitor and optimize system performance
Manage batch jobs and troubleshoot scheduling issues
Resolve complex production incidents and perform root cause analysis

Project Delivery & Agile Execution

Guide Agile teams in sprint planning and execution
Manage project scope and timelines
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and clarify requirements

Required Qualifications

5–8 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development
1–2 years of experience in a lead or senior technical role
Strong understanding of z/OS environment
Experience in Investment and Retirement domain preferred
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
